Our Approach

Every slab we coat is opened with a diamond grinder or a shot blaster first, and we do not acid etch. We read the cracks and the old coatings before quoting, and when a slab needs repair or replacement first, we say that plainly.

Our proposals name the product, the system build and the finished thickness, so you can check what went down against what was quoted. Warranty exclusions are read out before a job is sold, with moisture named first. Cure dates are set by slab temperature and dew point rather than the calendar, which sometimes means telling you an unheated detached garage should wait for spring.

On home jobs, you get a written contract and the Illinois consumer-rights pamphlet before work begins, as the Home Repair and Remodeling Act requires. Illinois does not license flooring contractors at the state level, so we confirm each town’s own license, bond and insurance rules before we schedule. We choose coatings within the Illinois VOC limits, which apply to us as installers as well as to manufacturers.

We are also clear about what a floor cannot do. A coating does not stop a sewer backup, so we point you to the floor drain and backflow questions first, and it is not radon mitigation, which in Illinois takes a state license.
